       Psalm 120

(Psalms 120) A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the
LORD, and he heard me. {2} Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and
from a deceitful tongue. {3} What shall be given unto thee? or what
shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? {4} Sharp arrows of the
mighty, with coals of juniper. {5} Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech,
that I dwell among the tents of Kedar! {6} My soul hath long dwelt with
him that hateth peace. {7} I am for peace: but when I speak, they are
        for war.

The curious thing about this passage is that Kedar is the second son of
Ishmael. I am not sure about the reference to Meshech, but Kedar is an
Arab. One wonders how often the Israeli’s sing this psalm. They have gone
to the peace table time and again looking for peace. But the people across
the table only use the "peace process" as an instrument to gain time for
      war.

      Youth in Action
Never in our history have young people needed Bible learning and Christian
youth programs more than they do today.
